Tsunami hit Andaman & Nicobar Islands on early mornings of 26th Dec 2004 killing more than ten thousand people from these islands.
Tsunami has hit again, this time its in Japan more damaging than its previous version. At least media has recorded it and being shown as most devastrating.
Although Tsunami is not here this time but there is a different type of pandemonium is there. Common people are not satisfied with the present arrangement of governance. The elected representative have never stand for what they have been expected of. The administration have nothing to do for the common people. A renowned leader while on his private visit to thses islands rightly put his words in this regard saying "There is complete loss of communication between Administartion and the people of these islands, one is moving North and the other is towards South."
Andamans have became a good example of failure of democratic system, its just dictatorship. No-body who belongs to Andaman & Nicobar is ever involved in any major or minor decision which directly or indirectly effects the common people. Let it be the case of Buffer Zone, Procuring of Sea-Plane, converting Ramanujam to Floating Cinema Hall, .......... the list is endless.
The main culprit for all such blunders are the so called political leaders of Andaman. Political party here shows their presence in newspaper by issuing condolence message and the idiot people congratulating these leaders. People are sleeping happily with their new purchased car, watching Cricket, biggest of all spreading rumors.
Not to blame them, if only they have to actively involve in all such activities like protesting for justice in case of CBSE paper leak or for Buffer Zone or for Vehicle ferry then why the elctions are conducted and unwanted learders are to be elected unwillingly as no other choice is availble.
Its high time people should decide and act so as to make this system to work out. Spend some time for the sake of your childrens and lets make this beautiful islands more senstive, responsible, functional and mature.!!!
